A young woman in a frozen mountain village gives birth to a dragon. The village calls it a monster; she calls it her son.
They came at dawn with stones and torches to end it, and she stood between them and the creature in her arms. The village drove her into the mountains and bolted the gates behind her, certain the cold would finish it. It did not. Contains scenes of childbirth and mob violence.
